Young 5s and Kindergarten:

Use household items to “play” forte (loud) and piano (quiet).  For example, wooden spoon and pot lid. Have the child take a turn conducting (showing the cards) and performing (playing).  This simple lesson targets Music National Standard: Playing alone and with others a varied repertoire of music.
